HOTEL CORONADO, Barcelona – A Smart Stay in the City

I found the hotel to be conveniently located near various attractions, although the room was a bit pricey for what it offered. The strong detergent smell upon entering was off-putting, and some basic room elements like a functioning light were lacking. However, the en suite bathroom was nice with a good shower and always plenty of hot water.

I stayed at this hotel which was an excellent choice for its price, being 50-80% cheaper than other hotels in the neighborhood. The room was small, dark, and had a small window revealing a dark well with linen bags, but it was spacey, had air conditioning, and all the basic necessities. The service was friendly and helpful, with staff speaking multiple languages. The location was great, just a few blocks from the Gothic Quarter. The dining experience was reasonable, with a varied selection. The facilities were decent, catering to all basic needs.

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, they lacked natural light, making them a bit dark. The service was polite and good overall, but reception could be more welcoming and knowledgeable about the city. The location was fantastic, close to the metro and city center, offering authenticity and value for money. The dining options were basic but acceptable. The hotel facilities were standard.
